Spicy kiwifruit margarita

Spicy kiwifruit margarita

Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

We mix it up right here at home! This time I actually combine several parts from different cocktails. We make a spicy kiwi margarita. There is no foam layer on an original Margarita, but I thought that was a nice idea. And I also gave the salt rim on the glass an extra boost. I have a beautiful one chili powder salt to coat the cocktail with some spice. If you are also going to mix at home, then it is a good idea to buy a cocktail shaker set. You then have all the basic necessities at home to be able to make a nice drink with it. Recipe Spicy kiwi margarita cocktail.

Spicy kiwifruit margarita

This spicy kiwi margarita is sweet, a little salty, and a little spicy. The salty edge really belongs to drinking tequila. The story goes that the margarita was created to drink tequila in a slightly fancier way. Normally you lick it off your palm, but that doesn't look that fancy of course.

One of the hallmarks of a good margarita is the layer of foam on top of the cocktail. This layer is created by the egg white that we use to shake the margarita. The egg white provides a creamy and airy texture that contrasts wonderfully with the sour and spicy taste of the drink. Fortunately, you no longer have to split eggs yourself to get the egg white. Nowadays you can buy this in bottles in the supermarket. That saves a lot of hassle and waste.

If you are not a fan of kiwi, you can also replace it with another piece of fruit. For example, a piece of mango, pineapple or peach. It doesn't matter which fruit you choose, as long as you first mash it finely in the shaker. This way the juices and flavors are released properly. Then add the other ingredients and shake everything together well. This way you can make a delicious spicy kiwi margarita or another variant to your taste.

Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
