Valentine sushi glass with salmon

Valentine sushi glass with salmon

Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

Another completely different sushi recipe. No rolls in a bowl but served in a nice cocktail glass. The title is “Valentine sushi glass with salmon” but you can actually make it all year round. We work with raw salmon for this dish. I would advise you to buy these as fresh as possible. Then it is at its best and you can eat it raw. We actually use all kinds of ingredients that you could normally eat when you make (or order) a sushi roll. Cooking the sushi rice is not complicated at all. And serving it in a glass saves you a lot of time with rolling. If you are very handy with chopsticks, you could eat it with chopsticks. otherwise I would say just serve with a small fork. Valentine's Day

sushi recipe
Fine glasses as an appetizer or with a drink.

Sushi rice is a special kind of rice that is used for the preparation of sushi. It is a short-grain, glossy and stiff rice that remains firm after cooking. The rice is cooked with a combination of rice vinegar, sugar and salt, which gives it a slightly sour taste and maintains the right texture for sushi preparation.

Sushi rice is one of the most important ingredients in the preparation of sushi and it is important to use the right rice to maintain the traditional taste and texture. In addition, the rice must be prepared and handled properly to make the perfect sushi.

Have fun with different types of fish.

Valentine sushi glass with salmon

The quantities in this valentine sushi glass with salmon are really enough for an appetizer. If you have small glasses, you could also make nice snacks with them if you are having a party. Serve them chilled and with a spoon on the side. Making a sushi recipe is therefore not complicated at all as you have read here. And these glasses are also easy to adjust.

You can also replace the salmon eggs for a little caviar.

You can use different types of fish and, for example, use other vegetables such as cucumber. No sushi rice at home? You can also use sticky rice. This rice only has a very different structure than sushi rice. Fortunately, most supermarkets now sell sushi rice.

Ingredients:

  • 250 gram salmon steaks with skin
  • 1 sheet of seaweed
  • 125 gram Sushi rice - uncooked
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 citroen
  • 2 el soy sauce

For decoration:

  • black sesame seeds
  • salmon eggs

Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.

And this is how you make it:

  • Take a pan and add the sushi rice and 200ml of cold water. Bring the water to a boil and cook the rice on low heat for 10 minutes. Then leave the lid on the pan and let the sushi rice rest for 15 minutes.
  • Cut the seaweed skin into small cubes with a sharp knife.
  • Cut the avocado into cubes and drizzle some lemon juice over it. On another cutting board, cut the salmon into small cubes. Place in a bowl and add the soy sauce.
  • When the rice is ready, grab the glasses. Put a few squares of seaweed at the bottom, then place 2 to 3 tablespoons of rice on top. Then fill with the avocado and salmon cubes.
  • Finish with the sesame seeds and the salmon eggs. Serve immediately, or keep covered in the fridge.
  • Delicious bites!
