Valentine's Day heart dessert with mascarpone

Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

Of course, no Valentine's recipe can be missing from my site! And while I'm not really into these commercial holidays at all, I secretly like to do something with a heart recipe. So let's make this easy but deliciously sweet Valentine's Day heart dessert. Valentine's Day dates back to 496, when Pope Gelasius proclaimed this day the day of Saint Valentine on February 14. If you do a little reading about Valentine's Day, there appear to be a number of different theories about the origin of this day. But one thing keeps coming back: celebrating love! And that's what we're going to do with this dessert. mascarpone recipe

And this is how you make Valentine's Day hearts dessert:

-Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

-Remove the puff pastry sheets from the freezer and let them thaw. Then cut out the hearts with the molds and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. With a brush you then brush a little water on the top. Sprinkle some granulated sugar over it. Place the baking tray in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Remove them from the oven and let them cool.

In a bowl, beat the tablespoons of mascarpone with some powdered sugar. Cut a few strawberries into small pieces and then add them to the container and stir together. Set aside in the fridge until use.

-Take a saucepan and add the raspberries, some icing sugar and a little water. Keep stirring until it has melted and it is a soft paste. Pour this into a sieve and sift out the seeds. This way you have a delicious raspberry coulis. The more sugar you add, the sweeter it gets.

- Using a serrated knife, cut the puff pastry hearts through the middle on the line. Scoop the mascarpone mix on top with a spoon and then put the top back on.

- Finally melt the chocolate au-bain-marie and with a spoon you splash some chocolate over the hearts, with the rest you can dip the strawberries in it and give it a layer of chocolate.
