We're going to give a twist to a classic. We make this virgin blood orange Paloma with the juice of blood oranges. These are now in season, so take advantage of them. The classic is made with grapefruit juice and is therefore more of an "all Year Round" drink. If you live quite rural like me, you can order many non-alcoholic versions online these days. If you live a bit more urban, there is a chance that your liquor store already has a lot of non-alcoholic variants of the classics.
Virgin blood orange Paloma
As with most of my drinks, you can serve them with or without alcohol. In the original Paloma goes tequila. And that is an intense drink for many people. Usually poured into a shot glass and then poured back in one go…. I've been very sick of it myself so I prefer the virgin version in this case. You buy it online or at the better liquor store.
If you want to prepare the timeless classic, you need specific ingredients. To make this refreshing cocktail, use: Tequila, for the signature tart flavor, freshly squeezed lime juice, which provides the necessary tartness, and natural agave syrup to add a touch of sweetness without being overpowering.
Add invigorating grapefruit juice for a fruity undertone and top with sparkling water for a sparkling effect. Together they form a harmonious taste palette.
