Virgin pink thyme gin tonic

Virgin Pink Thyme Gin Tonic (You want to try this)

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

Syrup is used in many cocktails. Now you can easily buy that in the supermarket, but you can also make it yourself. And that is childishly simple. In this case we make a spicy-sweet syrup with thyme and fig. We use honey instead of sugar. This gives it a beautiful yellow-gold color. This virgin pink thyme gin tonic is alcohol-free, but if you just want it straight, pour a regular gin. So you see, it's not all that complicated.

A thyme syrup like this does not taste like the cough syrup, it is much more concentrated in taste. This is a sweet and spicy note that gives your mocktail a little more flavor. This virgin pink thyme gin tonic has a beautiful pink color.

If you use a regular gin and a regular tonic, your drink will look a lot less spectacular. But you can make it just as well if you don't have the pink versions of both drinks at home.

Nowadays it is no longer that complicated to get a good non-alcoholic version of the various types of drinks. There are many options available at the supermarket, liquor store or online that are just as tasty and refreshing as the alcoholic varieties. I hardly drink alcohol anymore and I often mix it happily with the virgin versions. I like to experiment with different flavors, herbs and fruits, and make my own mocktails.

That keeps your head clear and saves a significant amount of calories. In addition, I prevent the negative effects of alcohol on my health, such as a hangover, a bad night's sleep or an increased risk of disease.

Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
