In week 19 we left for France again. This time to spend a nice week of the May holiday together. And how lucky we have been, fantastic weather and a very beautiful region. Of course we ate delicious French cheeses and scored well at a brocante. Everyone watch in Week 19 weekly vlog Delicious bites.
So in week 18 we left for France. This time to the east. That is a region where I normally only drive past on my way south. We did want to stop and stay here to discover this region. Another chance to chat with the French and practice the language. We went shopping at a mega LeClerc.
That is a large supermarket where almost everything is sold. That's what I love about being on vacation: other supermarkets! Enjoy browsing around and discover all kinds of products that we don't have in the Netherlands. Also Bonduelle, they have completely different products than with us, so as an ambassador that is funny to see.
During our vacation we decided to explore a region unknown to us. We had heard it was a nice area, but we weren't quite sure what to expect. Too bad there was not much to do, so you had to drive quite far for some nice towns. We would have liked to see more culture and history.
But we do like road trips so we enjoyed the scenery along the way. It was a varied and surprising landscape, with hills, forests, lakes and rivers. We also picnicked along the road a few times and enjoyed the peace and nature.

In week 20 we go home again, enjoy our own home and kitchen again! Of course you will get the second part of our France trip, and at home I will get started with some delicious French recipes. Inspired by the region and the country. Fortunately, it will not be long until the summer holidays and we will gladly return to this beautiful country.
