Week 33 weekvlog Delicious bites
Dining out to go. It remains a difficult thing… especially if you can cook quite nicely yourself. Also recognizable among many foodies because I see it more and more often. Dissatisfaction with quality, price, and service. Also on holiday I almost always cook myself because it is so often so disappointing what you get to eat and you have to pay astronomical amounts. How surprising was our visit to "Au petit marche" in Toulon! The photo of this week's vlog is from the s from this cute restaurant. Take a quick look at week 33 weekly vlog Delicious bites!
It was so busy and hot in Toulon that I didn't film there further. We did think it was worth a visit. Large old center with those recognizable houses with shutters. Narrow streets and a fountain on every corner. Toulon knows about 83 of them !! As you can see in the picture, we ate a delicious salad at this small but nice restaurant. The service was excellent, and the food was top notch! So you don't experience that very often on a fairly touristy terrace in France.
French markets

Past week We walked a lot through different markets. Just sniff around and look everywhere. We can really enjoy that. Jools also gets a taste for it and is amazed. (Of course, especially with the toys, but that's the beginning).
So I finally made a recipe that had been on the to-cook list for a long time: Lobster! This recipe has yet to come online but I can say wow! It really worked out well. First I watched a lot of Youtube videos how exactly to cut the lobster. With appropriate fear I took up a large knife and with a quick “tjak” I chopped it in the middle. Recipe will be online soon.
These toppers came online this week:
Expected for week 34
We have started the very last bit of vacation. 2 more days and then we go home. Too bad but we have three beautiful weeks and we will be back next year. My mailbox is starting to rattle again and I already have a few fun events planned for September. Next week is the last week of vacation at home before school starts again.
