Packages. As a food blogger I suddenly receive packages on a regular basis. Some I know they're coming because I'm participating in a challenge, and others it's a surprise. And so this week the postman showed up at the door with a package from France. Now I don't really have many Foodie contacts in France so only one thing came to my mind: Maille Dijon! We went there on vacation in the spring. ( See weekly vlog week 20 ). I then had a very nice chat with the lady from the store and made contact there. Week 38
The week just started at home with all kinds of work in and around the house. It's always balancing between all the tasks I have to do. Jools' school days and our sparse free time together as a family. Sometimes it seems as if Delicious Happen exists between 08:30 and 15:15, school hours haha. All the work that still needs to be done in terms of writing and elaborating the recipes must be done in the evenings or in lost moments. But that works pretty well, you won't hear me complain!

Opening
The Sunday was planned for a while: the opening of the cooking studio of fellow Instagram foodie Heidy! She opened her cooking studio in Houten and I was invited. So are many other foodies, so that was a very nice get-together. We were able to chat and enjoy all the delicious cakes and snacks that were made by Heidy and her brigade. Hospitable Rotterdam
The second cool event of the week was of course Gastvrij Rotterdam. I got tickets from another foodie with good connections and together with Luuk I went to Rotterdam. My old town, and so every year Hospitable is held here in the Ahoy. Real “the who's who” from the kitchen world walks around there and there is something to taste and discover everywhere. And we did. Actually way too little time to see everything, but we did our best!
What all came online?
Expected for week 39
Week 39 will of course be another wonderful week when it comes to cooking. I'm secretly already working on some Sinterklaas recipes so that I'll have them ready soon and don't have to stress at the last minute… Another great event is coming up and I'm starting my French lesson again, because my teacher is back from vacation!
