It's finally here: the asparagus season has started! I can't wait to tell you about my favorite dish with the white gold in a crispy jacket. They may be a bit more expensive than usual now, but I don't care. They are worth every penny! I'm not exactly sure what to call this dish, but it looks like a delicious savory pie or quiche without dough. Asparagus oven casserole Asparagus oven casserole
It's so delicious and so easy to make. You only need a few ingredients and the oven does the rest. If you also love asparagus, then you really need to try this recipe. You won't get enough of it!
And this is how you make the White gold in a crispy jacket:
First let the filo dough thaw. While that happens, take a small bowl and put 50 grams of butter in it. Let it melt in the microwave.
Clean the asparagus and steam them until they are al dente. I'm not a big fan of cooking them myself because I have a steam oven. ( 20 minutes )
Fry the bacon in a frying pan, pay attention: do not completely fry.
Beat the eggs with the crème frache in a bowl until smooth, season with the herbs, pepper and salt.
Then take your baking dish. We are going to smear the sheets of filo dough on both sides with the butter. Then place them in the dish, but in such a way that there is still an edge to fold back.
Cut the steamed asparagus into pieces and place on the filo dough. Then pour the egg mixture over it.
