Zeeland mussels from the plancha

Zeeland mussels from the plancha

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

Convenience serves people, right? Well I have a really easy recipe this time! It's summer time and that calls for a tasty summer recipe. We heat up the bbq and get started with the plancha grill. Perhaps less known in the Netherlands, but this Mediterranean dish will surprise you. In preparation and in taste. If you have a gas BBQ, you already have a plancha grill as standard. (If you don't have those, these Zeeland mussels from the plancha could also be made on a flat grill / tepan yaki plate)

Zeeland mussels from the plancha

This is my second recipe in the series of the #musselchallenge With this time a dish that you can put on the table within 20 minutes. Most of the work this time is actually in chopping the vegetables and the red pepper. If you are not a fan of spicy food, just leave out the pepper. We serve the mussels from the bbq with a nice piece of baguette and some dips.

The mussels go directly on the plancha.

Who would have thought that? Mussels from the BBQ! So you can see how versatile these shellfish are. In addition to being super healthy, they can also be prepared in no time. Make sure you heat your plancha well so that the shells are completely open when you scoop them off. Use a slotted spoon and scoop them into a large bowl.

Here you will find the complete recipe with all the ingredients you need. I hope you have fun preparing the dish below.
