  • 150 gram roasted peppers - (from pot 2 pieces)
  • 2 el tomato paste
  • 4 toes Garlic - peeled
  • 1 red jalapeño
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • ½ citroen - squeezed
  • 2 el tomato paste

And this is how you make it:

  • Put all the herbs and spices in a frying pan and fry for a few minutes on a low heat until you start to smell it.
  • Then put everything in the mortar and run/turn the mortar vigorously over it.
  • Place the olive oil, roasted peppers, garlic, jalapeño, lemon juice, tomato puree, together with the spices from the mortar in a food processor and process until you have a nice chunky sauce.
