We recently made a delicious cherry jam. This tastes great on a rusk or a sandwich, but I now have a great recipe for you. Making croissant rolls is super easy and will definitely put a smile on your face. Oh yes and of course an oven but that goes without saying right? At the moment the cherries are in season so make sure to use fresh cherries! But if they are no longer there, you can actually very easily adjust this recipe with the jam and fruits that are in season at that time. Think of figs, blackberries, or apricots, for example. So get started with these fine rolls!
Sweet cherry croissant rolls
As you have read in the recipe card, this croissant roll recipe is very simple. It might also be a fun idea to make it with your kids. In any case, pitting cherries is a fun job to do. I do advise you to wear plastic gloves because cherry juice stains enormously!
Before you know it, your fingers will be purple. And don't forget to put on an apron… Then put in the oven and let it bake until the edges are a nice golden brown.

Ingredients:
- 20 cherries
- 1 roll of croissant dough - from the fridge
- 4 el cherry jam
- 2 el powdered sugar
Nice and easy: click on the logo of your favorite supermarket to add the ingredients.
And this is how you make it:
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
- Pit your cherries in a cherry pit machine (or else with a knife) and cut them into pieces.
- Plop the croissant dough out of the can and roll it out. Press the dotted lines in the dough. Spread with the cherry jam and spoon the cherry pieces onto the dough. Roll up the dough.
- Cut the dough into slices, place in an oven dish lined with baking paper.
- Place in the oven for 20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
- Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top and serve.
