Hoisin noodles with large prawns
I am married to a lover of Asian cuisine. He likes to eat dishes with noodles in it. I must confess that I don't know very well how to prepare that kitchen. It seems quite complicated and I should look into it more and start with simple recipes. But I think Asian cuisine is very tasty and full of flavor! That's why this time I tried to make hoisin noodles with big gambas. I bought very large shrimps from my fishmonger that were 4 to 5 centimeters in diameter. hoisin noodles recipe with shrimp
They seemed perfect for this dish. I also used whole wheat noodles instead of the regular ones. They have a slightly different taste and are also healthier. I don't like spicy food myself, so I only used a little chili powder. But of course you can decide how spicy you want to make it. This is a delicious hoisin noodle recipe with shrimp that you can prepare quickly and easily.
And this is how you make the hoisin noodles with large prawns:
-Get the first king prawns and put it in a bowl. Add a little wok oil. I use wok oil because it smells nice and gives the prawns just a little more flavor. Add salt, pepper, chili powder to taste, and the crushed garlic cloves. Mix everything together and let it marinate for XNUMX minutes.
-Take a wok pan or a heavy-bottomed frying pan and add some wok oil. Fry the prawns until nice and pink on both sides and then set them aside on a plate.
-In the same pan fry the sliced peppers and onion. The onion should already be a bit browned and the peppers soft.
-While the vegetables are cooking, put the noodles in a pan of boiling water and let the noodles soak for 4 minutes until they are soft. Drain them well in a colander. (Check the packaging of your noodles for exactly how long this can vary slightly per type). Then add the noodles to the vegetables and mix everything together.
Finally, add the shrimp and pour over some of the hoisin sauce.
